Seeking for a qualified Preoperative/Ambulatory Nurse to administer diligent care topatients via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment.
Job Duties Assess, instruct & prepare patients prior to surgeryo Ensure that operative and informed consents are signed and correcto Take and record vital statistics of patients to ensure readiness for surgical procedureo Initiate IVs and ensure patients are informed about procedureo Assess patients' post-operative conditiono Monitor vital signs and other measurements of progress, meeting discharge criteriao Log all findings in patient fileso Answer patient questions and ensure patient comforto Monitor patients for condition changes, reporting any changes to physiciano Perform intervention duties during post-operative emergencies This role may require access to information considered sensitive to Albany Medical Center, its patients, affiliates, and partners, including but not limited to HIPAA Protected Health Information and other information regulated by Federal and New York State statutes.
