Optical Assistant


Summary:
This position is to provide leadership and coordinate our Receptionist Associates in their efforts to act as a liaison between our customers and professional staff to provide maximum efficiency in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Essential
Responsibilities:
1.
Communicating with all associates by interacting openly and honestly.
At all times interacting according to our associate credo.
2.
Greeting and offering assistance and information to our customers.
3.
Computer system maintenance - accurate data entry of relevant information.
4.
Maintenance of patient files to include filing.
5.
Timely notification of product readiness.
6.
Performing opening and close-out procedures according to policies.
Making nightly deposits when requested.
7.
Answer all incoming telephone inquiries using proper etiquette.
8.
Processing and verification of third party insurance information.
9.
Proper handling of all money related transactions.
10.
Adhere to privacy and confidential and proprietary company policies and procedures (i.
e.
HIPAA).
11.
Participate in any/all training and educational activities necessary to fulfill at least the minimum requirements as specified within your departmental goals.
This is in addition to, the completion of any activities necessary for the maintenance of professional affiliations or organizational requirements.
12.
Diligently maintain the cleanliness of all equipment, workstations and the overall facility on a daily basis.
13.
As required by changing business needs, complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience & Background:
1.
Customer Service Experience Preferred.
2.
Optical Knowledge is helpful.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
