Senior Water Wastewater Engineer

Job Description Arcadis is searching for a Senior Water Wastewater Engineer, with 10 to 15 years of engineering experience with water, wastewater and stormwater systems, to join our team in the Clifton Park, NY office to support our water business line related infrastructure projects and manage projects and client relationships. Our team helps clients achieve business objectives by creating and implementing innovative and effective solutions using state-of-the-art technologies, and this is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated engineer to join our local team with support from one of the best-qualified global consulting firms in the industry. This passionate and motivated individual, with the support of nationally-recognized technical staff, will utilize their experience and technical knowledge to successfully execute water, wastewater and stormwater planning, design and construction projects. This individual will also support current client development activities and learn Arcadis' project management tools and protocols. The successful candidate will also have the potential opportunity to engage in projects throughout the United States and around the world through Arcadis' extensive network of client relationships and global exchange and outreach programs. Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Working with and supporting Principles to develop scopes of work, budgets, schedules, as well as directing the execution and delivery of projects on time, on budget and to the performance expectations of the client. Leading and directing the day-to-day technical development of projects by applying our project management principles. Typical projects include studies and designs related to water and wastewater treatment, biosolids mangement, water supply, pumping systems, hydraulic modeling, collections and distribution systems, green infrastructure and storm water systems. Utilizing professional knowledge of local area clients and current contacts to lead and further develop client opportunities in this region, with support from area leadership. Coordinating multi-disciplined engineering teams. Supervising and supporting the work of others, and mentoring junior level technical staff. Tracking and maintaining project and task budgets and schedules. Maintaining a safe working environment by understanding and embracing Arcadis' health and safety culture. Required Qualifications 10 years of experience. Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related field of study. Experience in water / wastewater / stormwater studies, design, and/or construction administration / oversight projects as a Task Manager and/or Design Engineer, on a variety projects, from small to larger in size. Strong team leadership experience or proven potential; including managing project delivery expectations, prioritization of tasks, and mentoring. Experience in client facing role with skills to include; preparation and development of proposals, managing client expectations and overall relationship. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Flexible to work with different project teams present locally and across remote offices. Self-motivated in improving team and personal performance. Required Driving Statement This position requires a current valid driver's license and clean driving record. Preferred Qualifications 15 years of progressively responsibleexperience. Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or Bachelor's degree in Engineering and an MBA. Active participation in regional and/or national professional associations. Experience with and current contacts within the local area municipal utilities market. Have a good track record of working collaboratively in teams and other disciplines in delivering variety of projects. Ability to communicate with stakeholders including technical and non-technical parties. Deliver innovative solutions through a client focused approach. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
